How do I add items to my Bring! list?

To add an item to the list, write it into the input bar at the bottom of the list and then select it by tapping. Alternatively, you can browse through the categories and add items by tapping them.

How do I create own items?

Enter the item name into the input bar. If the searched item does not exist, Bring! will assign a suitable icon and the correct category to the item on your shopping list.

How do I delete an item off of my list?

To delete an item, tap on it. It will then move to “Recently Used”.

What if I accidentally deleted an item?

No worries. You can find the last few items you deleted in “Recently Used” and you can put them back on your list by tapping on them.

How do I completely delete an item?

Items can be deleted by pressing and holding the item and selecting the red 'Delete own item' button. Note that items from the item catalog cannot be completely deleted.

How do I delete items from “Recently Used”?

There is an “edit” button on the right hand side of the “recently used” category. Press this button and then tick all the items you wish to remove from the section and finish the process with “remove”.

How do I add the same item twice?

An item can be added to the list twice if it has different descriptions. As an example: search using the input bar for 'Apples Boskop', add this item to the list, and then search for 'Apples Gala'.

How do I move an item to another list?

Press and hold the item to open the item settings. Here, select "Move Item". Click on it and choose which list you want to move the item to. Note: Once you have moved the item, it will no longer be present on the original list. You can move items from the shopping list, from the "Recently Used" section, or from the "Own Items" section. Items from the catalog cannot be moved.

I was unable to delete my own items.

Check if the own item you wish to delete is on another list or under “recently used.” In this case, you must first delete the item from this category. If you have added details to your own item such as an icon or a photo, you must delete it in the list where you added the details.

How do I add quantities and descriptions?

To open the item details, press and hold an item. You can then add quantities, descriptions, and personal photos under the item name. You can also directly enter the details into the search field, e.g., "2 kg apples".

How can I refine items with quantities and descriptions directly in the search bar?

Enter the item you want to buy in the search. Add it to the list by clicking on it. Choose refinements we suggest or add your own descriptions, quantities and photos to the item under "Enter item details".

What does “smart specifications” mean and how can I turn this feature on?

You can enable smart specification under profile > More settings. If the feature is turned on you will see suggestions for different item details displayed when you search for an item. You can add one or more of these suggestions by tapping on them.

How do I change the icon of an item?

Press and hold the item and select "Change Icon" in the item details. You can now choose an icon from the item catalog and save it with "<" / "done".

How do I move an item to another category?

Press and hold the item and select "Settings" in the item details, then "Change Category". You can now move the item to one of the predetermined categories.

How do I add an image to my item?

The best way to add a photo to an item is already in the search, under "Capture Own Details", when you put it on the list. If you want to refine the item afterward, press and hold the item. Then click on the camera symbol in the item details. To take photos in Bring!, you must grant Bring! access to the camera and your pictures in the phone settings.

How can I replace the icon with a picture?

That’s not possible in Bring!.

Why can I not find certain items in the Bring! catalogue?

The Bring! item catalog represents the most commonly purchased items. You must add extraordinary items as your own. However, the catalog is continuously being expanded.

Why are item details only saved in the list I added them in?

Many users share various Bring! lists with different people. Since not all lists require the same products with the same customizations, the item details are only set in one list.

Can I add prices and shops to the items on my list?

You can enter prices into the description of an item. However, these are not totaled.

How do I create a new list?

Open the list menu at the top left in the shopping list. Under your existing lists, you will find the option "+ Create list". Choose a name and a background or select one of our cool list suggestions. Once the list is created, you can invite others to the list. Please note that this only works in the app.

How do I delete a list?

Open the list, go to the button with the three dots at the top right and then select "Settings". You can delete the list by selecting "Delete/Leave this list". Please note that this only works in the app and at least two lists must exist.

How do I change the name of my list?

Open the list, click the button with the three dots at the top right and then select "Settings". Click on the pencil icon next to the list name. Now you can rename the list. Alternatively, you can also click on "Edit" at the top right in the list overview. Click on the gear next to the name of the list you want to rename and then on the pencil icon. Please note that this only works in the app.

How can I share my list?

When creating a new list, you will be asked if you wish to share it. To share an existing list, long press on the list in the list overview and choose “Invite Friends”.

How do I send a list?

Open the list, tap “...” in the upper right corner and choose “Send list”. Please note that deleting lists is only possible in the smartphone app.

How do I print a list?

Open the list, click the button with the three dots at the top right and then "Print list". Please note that this only works in the app.

How do I save a list as a document?

Open your list, click the button with the three dots at the top right. On an Android smartphone: Select "Print list," but instead of a printer, choose "Save as PDF". On an iPhone: Select "Send list". You will now see the option "Save to Files". Please note that this only works in the app.

My invitation to share does not seem to have been sent.

Please check if the invitation was sent to the correct email address. It must be the same email address that the other person uses with Bring!. Sometimes our emails end up in the spam folder, so also check there. The invitation is also displayed in the Bring! app after opening.

How can I remove a participant from a list?

To delete a list participant or an invitation, open the list menu and tap "edit" in the top right-hand corner. Select the list from which you want to remove people by clicking on the cogwheel icon. Go to "Manage participants" and delete participants by tapping on the minus symbol.

How do I sort the items on my list?

The items on your list are sorted into categories and displayed in the same order that the categories below your list are in. You can change the order of the categories in profile > settings > List settings > List name > Sort your list. You can then move the categories to match the layout of your store. Changing the order of individual items is not possible.

How do I sort the order of the categories on my list?

You can change the order of the categories as follows: In Profile > Settings > List settings, select the list that you want to adjust. Then you can change the order of the categories under "Sorting". It is not possible to change the order of the individual items.

How can I remove categories from my list?

If you wish to delete a category because you follow a specific diet or do not have any pets, you can do so in Profile > Settings > List Settings. Choose the list you want to remove the categories from and choose “Sort your list”. You can remove categories from the list by tapping the eye symbol next to the category name.

How do I sort the lists in the list menu?

You can set the order of your lists in the list menu. Select "Edit" in the list overview and hold the two lines next to the list name to drag the list to its new position. Or: In "Profile" > "Settings," choose the option "Sort List Overview". To move a list to a new position, press and hold the three lines next to the list name and drag the list to its new position. How do I group the items on my list by product category?

To group items by categories, go to "List View" in your profile settings and enable "Group by Categories".

How do I change from tile to list view?

To change the view of your shopping lists, go to "List View" in your profile settings and choose between "List" or "Tiles".

How do I change from dark to light mode in my Bring! app?

To adjust the appearance of your Bring! app, go to "Appearance" in your profile settings and choose between "Light Mode" or "Dark Mode".

How can I save and reuse a list?

In "Inspiration," you can create a list template using the "+" button located in the top right corner. After saving it, you can add all or selected items from the template to one of your lists with a single click.

How do I delete an item from "Recently Used"?

Click on the right side next to the category title on "..." > "Edit". Now you can mark all articles you want to delete and remove them from the category with "delete".

How do I prevent items from being accidentally deleted by clicking on them?

If you often accidentally move items by simply tapping, you have the option to replace the gesture with a double-tap. You can find this setting under "Profile" > "More Settings" > "Double-Tap Gesture for Items". From now on, to add or remove an item from the list, you will need to tap the item twice in a row.
